In\u00a0accordance with\u00a0the\u00a0current version of\u00a0the\u00a0Geological Act (Act\u00a0No.\u00a0569\/2007\u00a0Coll.) and\u00a0its implementing decree (Decree of\u00a0the\u00a0Ministry of\u00a0Environment of\u00a0the\u00a0Slovak Republic No.\u00a051\/2008\u00a0Coll.) a\u00a0part of\u00a0the\u00a0geological survey of\u00a0the\u00a0environment in\u00a0the\u00a0detection of\u00a0serious pollution is also the\u00a0assessment of\u00a0the\u00a0risk of\u00a0the\u00a0impact of\u00a0pollution caused by\u00a0human activity on\u00a0human health and\u00a0the\u00a0environment – in\u00a0short the\u00a0risk analysis.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0final report of\u00a0the\u00a0geological survey of\u00a0the\u00a0environment, containing the\u00a0risk analysis, is approved by\u00a0the\u00a0Ministry of\u00a0Environment of\u00a0the\u00a0Slovak\u00a0Republic regardless of\u00a0the\u00a0source of\u00a0funding (Section\u00a018 of\u00a0Act\u00a0No.\u00a0569\/2007\u00a0Coll.). These legislative adjustments have created a\u00a0juristical range for\u00a0introducing risk analysis as a\u00a0tool for\u00a0assessing the\u00a0severity of\u00a0pollution of\u00a0the\u00a0natural environment and\u00a0proposing further action. The\u00a0content and\u00a0form of\u00a0risk analysis is regulated by\u00a0the\u00a0Directive of\u00a0the\u00a0Ministry of\u00a0the\u00a0Environment of\u00a0the\u00a0Slovak\u00a0Republic no.\u00a01\/2015-7 for\u00a0elaboration of\u00a0risk analysis of\u00a0contaminated area.<\/p>\n
Risk analysis generally consists of\u00a02\u00a0parts<\/p>\n
ENVIGEO carries\u00a0out risk analysis within a\u00a0wider complex of\u00a0work – especially geological exploration of\u00a0polluted areas \/ environmental burdens, but also individually based on\u00a0client’s requirements. To\u00a0perform these works, the\u00a0company has employees with\u00a0the\u00a0appropriate professional competence under\u00a0the\u00a0Geological Act (Act\u00a0No.\u00a0569\/2007\u00a0Coll.), who have completed and\u00a0mastered a\u00a0specialized course of\u00a0polluted area risk analysis.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0result of\u00a0the\u00a0risk analysis is a\u00a0decision as to\u00a0whether the\u00a0identified risk level is acceptable for\u00a0the\u00a0current or planned land use. If the\u00a0risk analysis results in\u00a0a\u00a0decision that the\u00a0identified level of\u00a0risk is\u00a0not acceptable and\u00a0that remediation is required, the\u00a0risk analysis still contains<\/p>\n
For\u00a0larger scale remediation, a\u00a0Feasibility Study is\u00a0being developed prior to\u00a0the\u00a0remediation project, either as part of\u00a0a\u00a0risk analysis or separately. This includes evaluation of\u00a0various remediation methods in\u00a0terms of\u00a0their\u00a0suitability, technical feasibility and\u00a0economic demands. The\u00a0methods are evaluated in\u00a0relation to\u00a0the\u00a0different remediation scenarios and\u00a0the\u00a0set remediation targets. The\u00a0result of\u00a0the\u00a0study is a\u00a0proposal for\u00a0an\u00a0optimal method of\u00a0remediation.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
