REMEDIATION OF SLOPE DEFORMATIONS
Construction interventions, changing water regime in the country, removal of tree vegetation, unsuitable landscaping, unsuitable location and establishment of facilities together with predisposition of geological environment can easily cause an emergency situation – tearing off and moving the earth mass down the slope, thus a landslide.
This may be due to underestimation of the engineering-geological investigation in the preparation of the area for construction, but also to the neglect of relevant geological data in the development of land-use plans. At the same time, the territory of Slovakia is sufficiently researched to identify risky areas in terms of slope deformations – landslides.
